Prue Stent is a young Sydney based photographer who knows what femininity is today and shows it to us without too many frills.
She began to investigate the world of photography in adolescence, at sixteen. And in her four photographic projects, a common thread seems to link all her shots: the women. Sarcastic, beautiful, abandoned, surreal, intriguing, a little extravagant. She bows her uses a range of colors to express all the femininity in the world. Soft tones that smell of marshmallows.
Prue says she likes to work spontaneously. And this is perceptible in every shot, which seems like an instinctive game. This helps to experiment, to explore, to reflect on a new beauty linked to the female body that is not an object to be immortalized, but a statue that shows her beauty only when she is left free to act spontaneously.
