In the garden of Frieze House Seoul, the studio SANAA has created a permanent installation that transforms a simple and ecological gesture such as collecting rainwater into an aesthetic and almost sensorial experience.

The aluminum and stainless steel seats are not just minimalist, lightweight forms in active dialogue with the house and its vegetation, but they also become surfaces capable of welcoming the rain, holding reflections, and drawing new liquid landscapes depending on the season. The water that settles is at once memory and living matter, amplifying the relationship between architecture and nature.

Frieze House Seoul was conceived as a permanent exhibition space, ready to host shows and collaborations, but SANAA’s garden reveals the charm of an installation that goes beyond mere aesthetics.
