Furry Artworks, the masterpieces of art made of fur

Furry Artworks, the masterpieces of art made of fur

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, said the English writer Charles Caleb Colton and this is perhaps the reason why dozens and dozens of artists have ventured into reproductions of the greatest masterpieces of art.
Imitating, giving a personal reading to a work means paying homage to it and its author. In fact, it is also thanks to this trend that works by Da Vinci, Van Gogh and many others have continued to acquire value and have become immortal.
Murat Yıldırırım, an Istanbul-based digital artist, also wanted to share his unique vision of these masterpieces with his audience. Thus was born the Furry Artworks project, in which some of the most famous works were digitally reproduced, replacing color with soft colored fur.

Starry Night by Van Gogh, The Scream by Munch, Impression, Sunrise by Monet, The Mona Lisa, The Persistence of Memory by Dali and The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Vermeer are the masterpieces that Murat Yıldırım confronted, transforming every single brushstroke, every nuance into tufts of fur. The final result of Furry Artworks surprises and attracts us, we would certainly like a copy hanging in our living room.

The naive and explosive art of Andy J. Pizza

The naive and explosive art of Andy J. Pizza

Buddy · 2 weeks ago · Art

Andy J. Pizza aka Andy J. Miller is an American illustrator, podcaster, and speaker, capable of creating works that are always rooted in whimsical narrative and modern graphics.

His illustrations are immediate and sunny, explosions of colors loaded with positive and motivational messages. The style is ironic and childish, obtained from simple shapes and flat colored backgrounds, with a spontaneous ability to characterize creatures born from his imagination.

Thanks to his language and his snapshot ability to communicate, he has worked for The New York Times, Nickelodeon, Amazon, YouTube, and Warby Parker.

Andy is the founder of the popular Creative Pep Talk podcast which helps young creatives build their careers with lessons ranging from marketing to inspiration to the pursuit of their own style.

The podcast was presented by Apple, BuzzFeed and Threadless and the book was published by Chronicle Books in spring 2017.

Andrea Tuzio · 2 weeks ago · Art, Style, Style

The Japanese clothing brand and retailer Beams, founded in 1976 in the Harajuku district of Tokyo, has recently presented the new exclusive capsule collection in collaboration with the Japanese sub-label The North Face Purple Label, for this FW20.

The collection of outerwear is mainly characterized by a Field
Jacket
characterized by a particular indigo dye, cuffs and elastic in black and by the logo on the left sleeve, also available in black and beige; by a medium size Sten Coat very classic but revisited in a contemporary key in black and brown; by a longer Big Sten Coat, in black, brown and beige, with a clear traditional aesthetic. A perfect trench coat for the season.

The peculiarity of all items of this capsule is the fabric with which they were made, made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton fiber, which makes the entire collection wind resistant also thanks to the Primaloft padding that keeps the heat.

The BEAMS x THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL collection is available exclusively on the BEAMS webstore.

“Rebuild the future”, LEGO celebrates children’s creativity

“Rebuild the future”, LEGO celebrates children’s creativity

Emanuele D'Angelo · 2 weeks ago · Art

“Rebuild the future” is LEGO’s latest project which involves children and all their creativity.

The globe made by LEGO collects 450 constructions of children from all over the world, made in the last 6 months.
A celebration of the creativity of children, whom with their little bricks have filled the entire globe.

But like children’s creativity, this creation will soon build, dismantle and rebuild itself. But for now have fun.

On display at LEGO House in Billund, Denmark, it took 2,700 hours to create “Rebuild The World” using over 350,000 LEGO bricks and elements.

A joyful symbol of hope and positivity with the children’s creations divided into five different categories: nature, vehicles, fantasy, objects and places.

To see all the works just connect to the site, but you can still participate with your creations on a digital version of the globe.

“Your Life as a Comedy” the optimistic work of E.LEE

“Your Life as a Comedy” the optimistic work of E.LEE

“Your Life as a Comedy”

“I don’t know how best to describe my last job if not with a series of difficulties that we all go through: sometimes we are in a desert, sometimes in a flood.
But we find more balance once we get out of the holes we fall into, and we start to build some security around us.”

The latest artwork by the American artist E.LEE is an “optimistic” work.
The viewer is the protagonist and is more or less the story of our life.

The work shows the metaphorical obstacles that we all have to overcome every day.
The desert: an empty and arid place, without nourishment, is loneliness and a feeling of isolation.
The ocean: water represents turbulent emotions, it is the opposite of a lack, but rather a feeling of possible drowning.
Anvils floating above us on balloons: this is anxiety, the random event that can fall on our heads out of nowhere, a completely unexpected event.
A crack in the Earth: this represents us falling into a hole, a big problem or depression from which we have to get out.

Once we go through these difficulties we arrive at the last step represented by a bedroom.
The last artwork represents the improvement of our life, the construction, and the opportunity to take a breath and rest, because the cycle and the challenge will start again soon.

A work undoubtedly optimistic and profound that of E. Lee in the streets of Chicago, who wants to encourage us to be the best version of ourselves, overcoming the obstacles that life puts in front of us.
