Opening this Saturday in Domodossola is the exhibition “Ostinato sguardo. Gianluca Folì: vent’anni di idee, poetica, tratti e colori. Un viaggio tra gli strumenti, la concretezza e gli umori di un mestiere” (“Ostinato sguardo. Gianluca Folì: twenty years of ideas, poetics, strokes and colours. A journey through the tools, concreteness and moods of a profession”).

Gianluca Folì – whom we have already talked about HERE – is an internationally renowned Roman illustrator. His works have appeared in magazines and journals all over the world, have been awarded several times and have led him to collaborate with names such as Feltrinelli, Lonely Planet, Gambero Rosso, Mondadori, Einaudi Editore, Fendi, Max Mara, Taschen and many others.
His latest collaboration led him to sign the Epson 2021 calendar “Colorseeker. L’origine dei colori” (“Colorseeker. The origin of colours”) which, after celebrating the work of photographers for 20 years, is dedicated to illustration for the first time in its history. The work created by Gianluca Folì has been selected for the 63rd annual award of the Society of Illustrators NY (already won by the illustrator in 2015) and included in the list of finalists of the “Creative Quarterly”, the New York magazine of photography, arts and visual communication.

The exhibition, which will be held at the Di-Se Artoteca of the Collegio Mellerio Rosmini in Domodossola, will present the public with 50 works created by the artist over his 20-year career. 

Among the artwork on show will obviously be the 12 plates included in the Epson 2021 calendar which, once the exhibition is over, will be exhibited again from 23 July onwards and for the whole month of August in the greenhouse of the Casa del Profumo in Santa Maria Maggiore, in the Vigezzo Valley.
