“Give a sheet” is a project by Guillaume Roukhomovsky and Blaz Verhnjak, a creative duo from Amsterdam who wants to actively help the world’s population against the terrible virus. “After spending the first days of our quarantine playing all possible cooperative games on Playstation or exploring all possible variations of home training, we simply wanted to help those fighting the pandemic on the front line. We’re not doctors, we’re not nurses, we’re not decision-makers… but we’re designers, so we found a way to tap into what we do best. And we hope it’ll help, if only a little bit.”
Playing with the term “don’t give a shit“, don’t care about something or someone, the two designers decided to launch their project, replacing the last word with “sheet“.
The choice of toilet paper is not accidental, in fact it is among one of the products that has gone stolen on supermarket shelves, along with yeast, flour and eggs.
Roukhomovsky and Verhnjak then invited artists and designers to participate with their drawings, without any theme, no filter.
They decided to put everything up for auction and then donate 100% of the proceeds to the international fund activated by WHO for the Covid-19 emergency.
