His research began when his anxiety attacks became more frequent and he surfed the internet looking for images, coming across the usual subjects: food, pornography, nature and politics.

Johnny is interested in provoking his audience and observing their reaction, as he himself states:

“It’s cool to get a reaction out of somebody.”

Assembling these images with his iPad becomes a tantalizing game and an opportunity to escape from reality, which very often is not so dissimilar from the paradoxical world proposed by the artist. Allusions of all kinds, alluring double meanings and obvious provocations are part of a seemingly superficial worldview, but one that hides an acute and pungent point of view. The first impact is destabilizing and, perhaps, in some ways disturbing, but always fun and never banal: the surprise effect is around the corner, ready to amaze and make sarcasm.
