It has been defined as a “Guerrilla Greening”, the ambitious project of the WATG design team that proposes to rethink the streets of every single city, giving them more green and more pedestrian spaces.

Through a series of GIFs, the streets of London, New York City and Honolulu are transformed into large green spaces, similar to gardens, populated only exclusively by large trees and dense vegetation that surrounds the existing architecture.

We live in a particular moment in which it is good to rethink our cities in a modern and sustainable way in order to improve air quality, encourage pedestrian transit and push more and more people to choose the bicycle over the car.

But to make this happen it takes a total revolution, as “Guerrilla Greening” proposes to do, reimagining the streets, the main squares and more.

WATG design has worked in this direction by proposing practical and feasible changes, but above all would totally transform the city, giving it a harmonious and absolutely green look.
