Belgian artist Hans Op de Beeck creates dream-like installations that are halfway between what exists and what is the result of imagination. The new work is called My bed a raft, the room the sea and then I laughed some gloom in me and represents a girl on a wooden raft holding a book in her hands while she is falling asleep with a butterfly on her pillow.

The composition has been designed entirely in monochromatic, so as to enhance its timelessness, elegance, and sense of solitude. The artist will exhibit his work, including his new film entitled Staging Silence, at the Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York until April 6, 2019.

If you want to deepen, you can visit the artist’s website or his Instagram profile, in the meantime do not miss our gallery below that includes some works at the show.
