Icy and Sot are two young Iranian brothers who form an artistic duo based in Brooklyn, New York.
From the very first works, their aspiration has always been to create strong and provocative works that communicate with the public in a powerful way.

The latest series, a thorny mirror of our time, was born to respond to Trump’s decision to raise a wall to divide the United States of America and Mexico and to the global immigration crisis.
Driven also by their personal experience as immigrants, they wanted to create a job that accurately expresses the sensations that hurried and insensitive decisions can provoke in innocent and often desperate people.

Whether it’s the U.S. flag recreated with rusty iron or silhouettes escaping from the same fences they are made of, or simply turning the element of separation into something decorative, Icy and Sot encourage us to reflect on the difficulties of living in our time.
