For the second appointment of December of the Illustrated Interview column, we opted for something special, explicitly dedicated to Christmas. For the occasion, we thought that the colorful, playful and ironic style of Cecilia Castelli‘s illustrations could be perfect.
Cecilia is a young illustrator and graphic designer from Varese who discovered her passion for illustration almost by chance. Being inspired by everything around her, she gives shape to her ideas almost exclusively using Adobe Illustrator. Her illustrations are characterized by clean lines, bright colors, and simple shapes, without the need for chiaroscuro or perspective.
At Collater.al, we asked her some questions about Christmas and she answered them with as many illustrations of her unmistakable and fascinating minimalist style.
Which aspect of Christmas do you like the most?

What meal is never missing on your table at Christmas?

Which is the movie you always watch at Christmas?

What’s the most embarrassing gift you’ve ever received?

Where will you spend this Christmas?
