A man with no arms, dressed in a yellow t-shirt with an irreverent and sadly ironic message in red on the front that reads: “FREE HUGS”.
This is the new figure created in collaboration between Joan Cornellà and AllRightsReserved in the now classic and consolidated style of the Spanish illustrator and cartoonist. 

Black humor characterizes much of the artist’s work, who through his silent boards permeated with pop surrealism, has become a true icon of the genre.

The “Free Hugs” figure is made of vinyl and is about 15 cm tall and represents Cornellà’s third collaboration with ARR after the figures “POOPY PANTS” and “Bootyboop”, of which a rug was also made. 

“Yeah I think it makes sense for what my work is. It’s more democratic and there’s this high/low art thing about it. It’s something I should have done a long time ago and I’m not sure why I didn’t. The reception has been really good. I think people have been expecting this for a long time and it seems they want more”, these are the words of the Spanish artist released to HYPEBEAST about his latest collaboration with AllRightsReserved on the sidelines of his exhibition in Hong Kong “Contemporary Showcase: My Life Is Pointless”, the most important so far for Cornellà from the point of view of space granted to the artist.
