JR, the French artist who has often approached Banksy because of the similarity of the themes dealt with in the artworks, recently presented his latest mural in Paris in collaboration with director, screenwriter and actor Ladj Ly and the students of his film school.

The mural is a tribute to George Floyd, the man who became one of the symbols of the fight against racism, but also to Adama Traoré, who died on 19 July 2016 in Beaumont sur Oise, France, after being arrested by the police.

The artwork, made outdoors on the facade of a building, depicts one eye of Floyd and one of Traoré, both victims of unjustified police violence, and both invoked during demonstrations held in the past days in cities such as Lyon, Lille, Nice, Bordeaux and Metz.
