Everyday life is tinged with purple in the works of Julius Hofmann

After hosting the provocative art by GoriÅ¡ek and Möhlmann, Plan X‘s Milan location continues its journey to discover contemporary art with the works of Julius Hofmann.

Purple Haze“, this is the title of the German artist’s first Italian solo exhibition, showcases the latest series of works by Julius Hofmann that address modern themes through a medium that harks back to past centuries.

In fact, since he graduated from the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, Julius has been focusing his research on themes such as pictorial composition and the representation of space and surfaces in the digital age.
Thus we see people living in symbiosis with electronic devices, intent on waiting for something to happen in their lives, created with brushstrokes.

The fil rouge of “Purple Haze”, as you can guess from the title, is the use of a dark and simple palette in which shades ranging from Veri Peri to Digital Lavender stand out and which increasingly characterize the latest trends in the world of fashion and digital.

Julius Hoffman’s aesthetics are put at the service of everyday scenes, common moments that transform his art into an art aimed at everyone, no one excluded.

“Purple Haze” by Julius Hofmann will be on display at Plan X in Via Marsala 7 in Milan until May 18, 2022.
