There are cuddly cats, funny cats, bored cats, cats that waste no time in explaining to you, the human, that they have no need to show you affection or make it clear that they might need your intervention. There are companion cats and others that you wouldn’t want to find in front of your door when you come home, maybe at night with no one around and they are two big, scary yellow eyes looking straight at you, like the cats portrayed by Itsallinsideus.
The artist has built a world around the silhouette of a black cat, often portrayed in the typical waiting position of these felines: sitting with a hunched back, tail extended to the back and sharp ears pointing towards the sky.

As if the barred eyes (red, yellow or very white headlights) were not enough, there are the settings painted on the canvas by Itsallinsideus to evoke that sense of suspended danger. Night and shadow prevail in the illustrations, but also symbolic rainbows that are an omen of trouble, in an inverse process to the one that usually shows them in the sky after thunderstorms.
To keep company with the cats portrayed by Mitch sometimes appears a dark black human silhouette, perhaps death, perhaps only the owner of the cat looking for attention that, clearly, he will not receive.
