The memories of our childhood accompany us for the rest of our lives, pampering us with that feeling of security and serenity mixed with wonder typical of that period.
The latest collaboration JW Anderson x UNIQLO aims precisely to awaken that emotion now dormant in the meanders of our memory.
For this new team-up with the Japanese giant, Jonathan Anderson dug into his childhood memories and rediscovered the lovable characters born from the pen and pencil of British illustrator, writer and naturalist Beatriz Potter.

Potter is one of the most widely read and beloved writers of children’s literature. Her 24 short stories, translated into 35 languages, have sold over 100 million copies. Her passion for nature, animals and painting have been the cornerstones around which Potter’s life has developed since childhood and is reflected in her literary works.
Anderson and UNIQLO have reinterpreted the bucolic settings of the writer and “borrowed” some of the most famous characters from her books – Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle Duck, Miss Moppit and Tom Kitten – which enrich the collection consisting of fall garments such as zip-up fleece, cardigans, wool blankets, tartan pajamas, oversized sweatshirts and accessories such as wool blankets and pillows.
This collection is meant to welcome the season”, Anderson said. “I wanted something that was very autumnal, like an autumn day in the British countryside”.
The JW Anderson x UNIQLO collection inspired by the works of Beatrix Potter will be available online at the Japanese brand’s website starting December 3.
