Kent Andreasen is a photographer from Cape Town who creates shots with a fresh, colorful and contemporary style. His research focuses on the details that characterize everyday life: proposing images that seem apparently simple, Kent comes to tell the reality that becomes the focus of each story. He often describes his work as:

“Simple to the point of being misunderstood”.

The ordinary becomes extraordinary: an access television, the pattern of a jacket, a car, a window, and a chair are translated with a poetics that elevates the essence of small things. Do not misunderstand this type of look, because not everyone has the gift to notice details that surround us and translate them into a language.

Kent has explained several times that there is something irrational to push him to certain types of subjects and cited as landmarks Martin Parr and William Eggleston, able to photograph anything.
