The partnership between Kith and BMW continues. Ronnie Fieg, the founder of Kith, after enlisting the likes of Adrien Brody, Steve Buscemi, Giancarlo Esposito, and Jerry Seinfeld, has chosen Boston-born actor Edward Norton to launch a new collaboration with German automaker BMW.
The campaign for the new Kith x BMW collection, the second collaboration between the two entities, was shot on the streets of Munich and, thanks in part to Norton’s presence, looks beautiful and unique.
The collection consists of as many as 51 items including clothing and accessories, but there is more.
The collaboration also includes the launch of the new BMW i4 M50, the first fully electric BMW M model. The exterior features a green paint developed especially for this project, called Kith Vitality Green. This paint has never been offered on any BMW model before, nor will it be in the future, ever. The logo on the hood has been updated with an outer ring, while the rear fender features our Kith logo, inspired by the BMW M logo.
The interior is made of caramel-colored BMW Individual Merino leather and features an embossed Kith monogram on the headrests and center armrest. The cup holder cover is engraved with a co-branded logo, and the words “Kith Exclusive Edition” appear on the trim above the glove box.
Only seven BMW i4 M50 by Kith cars will be produced for the public. One of them will be auctioned off, thanks to a partnership with Sotheby’s, beginning on Friday, Oct. 7, and ending on the 14th. The auction, which you can follow at sothebys.com, will start with an initial, symbolic bid of $1. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, which is dedicated to protecting the ecosystems and incredible biodiversity of East Africa.
The winner of this auction will receive his or her BMW i4 M50 by Kith in 2023, as the car will be produced according to the road specifications of the winner’s country of residence. In addition to the car, the winner will also receive an item from the Kith for BMW 2022 collection. In addition to the car and the collection piece, the winner will also receive an assortment of special 1-of-1 products that celebrate this partnership and will be delivered with the car. These items will never be sold publicly and were produced exclusively for the auction. They include: a surfboard, a snowboard, and a Wilson Pro Staff 97 racquet.
The Kith x BMW collection will be released on October 7 both in store and online.
