NikeSKIMS makes its debut in outerwear and sets the tone for fall with University Red

NikeSKIMS expands its wardrobe with something new: for the first time, the brand is introducing a new collection of outerwear that combines technical materials, soft volumes and feminine silhouettes. Available from today, 22 October 2026, the new line accompanies the shift to the colder season without giving up the dialogue between athletic performance and everyday style.

The collection is built around two new materials. Sherpa focuses on warmth and softness, thanks to Nike Therma-FIT technology, a brushed interior and contrasting recycled nylon inserts. The line includes a vest, a half-zip jacket and a hooded style. Crunchy Nylon, on the other hand, introduces a textured, water-repellent surface designed to give structure and volume to cropped jackets, parkas and wide-leg pants.

Kim Kardashian, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, emphasises how the new outerwear expands the brand’s styling possibilities. Among the season’s new additions, the University Red shade is the one she is most excited about, thanks to its bold character and the energy it adds to the collection.

Defining the season’s palette is University Red, an intense shade that runs through selected garments, accessories and footwear, including the NikeSKIMS Rift Satin. The red sits alongside the brand’s signature materials, such as Matte, Weightless Layers, Performance Cotton Blend and Stretch Knit, which return in new colours and variations. The new additions also include new Matte shaping bras and Stretch Knit styles made with single-layer seamless yarns.

The Fall 2026 campaign stars the University of Alabama cheerleaders, the UCA Division 1A national champion squad, and strengthens the link between sport and style that defines NikeSKIMS’s identity. The launch is also part of the brand’s international expansion, which recently saw it debut in China as well.

The choice of cheerleaders is no coincidence, because their role puts a constantly moving body front and center, called on to combine strength, coordination and control, elements that are also found in NikeSKIMS’s design approach. The campaign thus translates the meeting of athletic performance and fashion sensibility into images that celebrate the energy of the group and the freedom of movement, without sacrificing attention to silhouette and fit.

The goal is to expand the NikeSKIMS system, built to support women through movement and everyday life with pieces that combine fit, functionality and aesthetic exploration. With the arrival of outerwear, the project adds a new layer to a wardrobe that already includes tops, pants, underwear, shoes and accessories.

Ultimately, this is where NikeSKIMS’s challenge lies: rethinking clothing not as something to choose based on an occasion, but as a natural part of the day, able to adapt to the rhythms, desires and movements of the person wearing it. Because feeling comfortable in your own body shouldn’t be a goal to reach, but the place to start from.
