A huge 703-meter skyscraper in St. Petersburg, Russia, which will be the second tallest building in the world.
The world record still belongs to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, 828 meters high, the Russian one is close but not too close. Lakhta Centre II, that’s the name of the building and it will have 150 floors with a helical glass form cradled by a metal exoskeleton.

“The outer layer of the building is created from spiralling columns that form an open organic helical diagrid, while the structure is carved out by a series of spiral atriums shared with vertical public spaces”.

The Lakhta Centre II will rise next to the Lakhta Centre, the famous headquarters of the Russian energy company Gazprom that was completed in October 2018 and is currently the tallest building in Russia.
