When we saw Lawrence Slater‘s graphics, we fell in love. Then we found out about his free advertising project and wanted to investigate further. Basically Slater traces Max Kolo‘s idea of replacing job advertisement flyers around New York with his own graphics. Slater decided to do the same in London, but without physically replacing them, but by contacting professionals to propose the new leaflets, all for free. A personal trainer, a dog sitter, a violin teacher and many others, all amazed by Lawrence’s work, who acts as a sort of super-hero rescuing from bad graphics, mostly self-made.

Lawrence’s initiative is not just a project but becomes a true community service that highlights the power of good design in everyday life. In a city where people are bombarded with visual information, his efforts ensure that important messages are not lost in the chaos. So, if you’re in London and your flyer needs an urgent makeover, keep your eyes open, Lawrence Slater could be the hero your business needs.
