Thanks to the skillful hands of Steven Burke aka Luckylefthand, the Parisian headquarters of Louis Vuitton has been wearing new colors for a few days now that, in this period a bit tending to gray, make us want to walk a little bit through our streets.
The mural, which covers an area of 280 square meters, is called Nine Colors, Nine Eyes and Nine Hearts and is the set of 14 paintings that aim to bring back the good mood to all the inhabitants of Pont Neuf.
With a style inspired by the aesthetics of the 60s and 70s, Luckylefthand takes us on a tour of the landscapes of Hossegor, a French city dear to him and a source of inspiration for many of his works, characterized by tree-lined hills and sparkling pools of water where the sun sinks and rainbows disappear.
But to characterize the mural, in addition to the saturated colors of the landscapes of the French town, there is also the symbolic element of the hands, all distant from each other to tell the historical moment that we are living and that forces us to be close without being able to touch each other.
I wanted to create this wall painting to offer Parisians a colourful stroll past the 14 windows, evoking a summer holiday while still representing the temporary period we are going through
