Today we are talking about Marie-laure Cruschi, a French illustrator and graphic designer who founded her own creative studio in Paris in 2007, calling it Cruschiform.

Since then, Cruschiform has evolved and expanded, becoming internationally known and Marie-laure has collected several collaborations with names such as National Geographics, GQ, Dior, Netflix.

Her style is based on two fundamental elements, which are interpreted and presented in different ways, but which are never lacking: color and shapes. If you scroll through her Instagram profile, in fact, you will notice how over time the subjects and the touch have changed, but each of his illustrations has a solid structure composed of basic geometric shapes that are assembled together to give life to the subject and then filled by an essential and carefully chosen color palette.

It seems that anything could inspire Marie-laure Cruschi, from a film like The Great Gatsby to the streets of Paris. One subject she has dwelt on more than the others are the cabins, those small houses very much in vogue in contemporary architecture and often built in the middle of nature in remote places. Her illustrations with these mini houses have been included in the book “Cabins” by Philip Jodidio and published by Taschen, in which these types of dwellings are told.

The unconditional love for illustration led, in 2017, Marie-laure Cruschi to publish a book completely dedicated to colors entitled “Colorama“, in Italy published by Ippocampo. 280 pages in which, through 133 tables, the story of the names of the colors that surround us every day is told.
