The minimal and sustainable world of Mira Lou

-
Giulia Pacciardi

It’s a world made up of women, those of Mira Lou, illustrator, graphic designer and photographer based in Berlin.
Her work is characterized by a great attention to sustainability that, in her field, translates into finding appropriate solutions to minimize waste, for example working as much as possible digitally, trying to use energy with caution but also choosing vegan or recycled materials for her prints, produced only by companies that work in a conscious way.

Attention that is evident when looking at her delicate and minimal illustrations, where everything is reduced to a minimum to let the most important details speak for themselves, those that are enough to convey the artist’s message.
As already mentioned, the main protagonists of her works are women, their moods and feelings, their passions, their beauty and their strength.

Often her illustrations are inspired by photographs and as many times they become tattoos that decorate the skin of those who feel told by her lines and spots of color that she uses here and there.

We have selected some of her illustrations that impressed us the most, but we suggest you follow her here and here so that you don’t miss anything of her work and initiatives.
