Mirror Box is the name of conceptual work by Berlin visual artist Mikael Christian Strøbek, known for his approach that combines photography, sculpture and digital art, playing with spatial perception. In fact, all his projects offer multiple perspectives on form, color, and composition, depending on different artistic contexts. At first sight, the viewer assumes that Strøbek’s works are physical in nature, but after careful observation, he realizes that it is actually a 3D render.
Artist explains that:
“Redefine artistic production in connection to architectural contexts”.
This kind of approach allows him to dialogue with the architectural and contextual elements. Mirror Box is a project consisting of a series of images composed by a plywood surface mounted on a mirror box, which rests on a physical floor. Among the sculptures, we also find an installation, Peeling Wall, made of metal plates and black glass that give us the detached wall perception.
