New Balance returns with the 990v5, the sneaker that combines comfort and design
New Balance is ready to launch the new 990v5 that pays tribute to the iconic 1982 model that made the history of sneakers.
When a shoe is an icon you can’t forget it, that’s why New Balance has announced the release of the New Balance 990v5.
It was 1982 when the 99x series was born with the first 990 that, in addition to having become, a few years later, the first sneaker in history to reach the cost of $100, has also seen, over the years, the release of three other versions and now it’s time for a fourth.
So, tomorrow, Saturday, May 4, 2019, the new New Balance 990v5 will be available in three colors exclusively from Slam Jam.
This new model will retain some aspects of the previous models, combining them with a new aesthetic and a cleaner design, adapting to the contemporary style. Also from the point of view of performance we have improvements, thanks to a TPU insert on the upper and a new Ortholite sole that allow for greater stability and comfort. The design has also been renewed, with the logo on both the tongue and the heel, but also thanks to reflective details and the use of leather embellished with graphic motifs.
In addition, from June 14 the silhouette of the 990v5 will be added to NB1, the platform where you can customize and order it.
Some will say it’s just a grey shoe, but it’s much more. Discover it in our gallery.
