In collaboration with the Durant Foundation, American artist Timothy Goodman gave new life to a basketball court in Brooklyn with his iconic illustrations.
The design of the court was completed in six days, the artist and his four assistants worked in 14-hour sessions under a scorching heat.
The theme and all the illustrations were suggested by students at the school in a workshop the artist held in February.
“Work hard”, “Believe”, “Future” are the keywords chosen by the students inside the basket area.
Creating something for children and communities has been my constant goal, and as a big basketball fan, this has been a dream project. The camp and playground are open for students today!
Timothy Goodman’s art and words have populated walls, buildings, packaging, cars, people, shoes, clothes, book jackets, magazine covers and galleries around the world. Now their last stop is Brooklyn, where he made a real dream field, here are all the photos.
