Walking through the Municipio Roma V, more precisely near Villa Gordiani, one of the many archaeological parks of the capital, for a few days you can admire, in addition to the remains of Roman times, two new works by Tellas.
The Sardinian street artist has been chosen as the protagonist of the first appointment of E.P.ART.
E.P.ART is a new three-year project, promoted by Ecomuseo Casalino and part of ROMARAMA, the cultural program promoted by Roma Capitale, born with the aim of creating street artworks able to transform the streets of the eastern suburbs of the city into real open-air museums. This year, in 2021 and 2022, several artists will take over and create various artworks in as many districts of the 5th Municipio.

The curator of the project was the Wunderkammern Gallery, which immediately selected Tellas as the artist for the first edition among various proposals.
“We can say that Tellas, more than “chosen”, was welcomed by the district’s curatorial committee. The artists proposed by Wunderkammern were all exceptional, but the name of the Sardinian artist stood out for the natural assonance with the project idea that was maturing” – Claudio Gnessi, President of the Ecomuseum Casilino

Thus, from 25 November to 5 December, Tellas worked on two large murals, one on the entire side facade of a condominium in Largo delle Terme Gordiane, the other on a wall in Via Basiliano. In both of them stand out features typical of the style of the Sardinian street artist, such as a palette of neutral and delicate colors and many natural elements, which create a link with the place and the greenery of Villa Gordiani.
