Nich Hance McElroy is a Canadian photographer who has focused his artistic research on everyday life beauty that brings little things to bright. Although his look is very aesthetic, the atmosphere and the light management of his shots become basic key elements in the representation of reality in a poetic way, with no rhetorical results.
The compositions tend to emphasize banal gestures, within an introspective-emotional mood, from the familiar approach and detached at the same time: as if the artist is estranged from the scenes portrayed, then he reunited with them and their pure form.
The latent melancholy, present and implied, makes Nich’s work a kind of personal journey within the things that appear before him as epiphanies, only to disappear into the routine.
