On the occasion of Thanksgiving, yesterday Nike released a touching one-minute spot with NBA star Kyrie Irving. No shoes and no clothing are shown in the video because, as always, Nike decides to tell a story instead of showing a product.

In the spot Kyrie, who this year, after six seasons in Cleveland, wears the Celtics jersey, challenges in a classic one on one no less than his father.

The TD Garden is empty, the echo of their steps resounds in the court, the basketball player’s voiceover tells how, at his mother’s death, his father took care of him and his sister sacrificing the career and, between one shot and the next, your eyes will surely become bright.

“My dad sacrificed his dream, so I could live mine.”
