For the project “Imagine Piazza Tirana”, born from the collaboration between Base Milano and Bepart, a few days ago the collective Guerrilla Spam, with the help of 30 boys and girls from the Giambellino district, completed a pavement work on the basketball court in Piazza Tirana. The name of the opera “Nomad Carpet” encapsulates the entire concept of the opera, imagined as a carpet, or rather an ornamental object that must be aesthetically beautiful and that encloses and narrates customs and habits, but also an object to live and use.
“Now the district on the south-west outskirts of Milan has become the home of the “Monument to Imagination”, built by the inhabitants of the area: a new meeting place and a starting point for future cultural projects”.

So, just like a carpet, the new Milanese court aims to be a beautiful place to walk on, to live in a company, and to share.
“It is a work that must be used; it must be observed, walked on, trampled on, occupied with one’s body.”
