Off-White™ has just presented its new flagship in Paris. After the stores in London, Taipei and Milano – the latter opened last year in Via Bigli 2 in the heart of Milan’s fashion district – the brand founded in Milan by Virgil Abloh, continues its expansionist aims and opens in the other European city that more than any other is synonymous with fashion, the French capital.

About this new opening and talking about the store itself, designed and developed once again with the AMO studio, win of the famous architectural firm OMA – by now a consolidated partner of the fashion world after the continuous collaborations with Prada and the last one with Bulgari – he spoke of “destination to get immersed into the Off-White™ world” and as “an incubator for new talent, a cultural connector within the community and an experimental laboratory of creativity and innovation”.

About the new space designed and built with AMO, Abloh said: “Working with AMO is a synergistic process. The way we ideate is similar — nothing is off limits—and the outcome at Off-White Paris is greater than I could have ever imagined”.

The new Off-White™ flagship in Paris has already opened its doors to the public while the FW21 collection was unveiled yesterday with the brand’s first runway show in attendance in 16 months.

The Fall/Winter 2021 see-now-buy-now is a “Laboratory Of Fun” – as defined by Abloh himself – that was presented with an announcement from an MC that read “Get your iPhones ready; the vibes are about to be immaculate” and with the stunning Bella Hadid opening the show swaddled in an electric blue velvet dress with knee-length boots that matched the dress.

Midway through the show Tamil dancers accompanied M.I.A.‘s performance, and about the British artist’s involvement Virgil told WWD: “She’s an artist that’s known for speaking her stance on global issues and I wanted to make a safe space for her to do her art and pair it together with what Off-White™ stands for. It’s about representing a young generation, it’s not about selling clothes”.
