The new project by the Hip-pop design studio is called Okamase and takes its name from the traditional Japanese meal divided into many small courses, served starting with the lightest and ending with the heaviest.

The Okamase restaurant, housed in a building dating back to the last century, is a place where Japanese culinary tradition meets and blends with the most modern design innovations. 

Dining in this place is a bit like entering a video game where pink and orange neon lights dominate. The characteristic element of Okamase is the walls that divide the immense space into small, very intimate rooms, because the designers have abandoned materials such as cement or plywood in favour of glass panels decorated with cherry blossoms and dew drops, creating a surreal, ethereal and virtual labyrinth. 

The Hip-pop team managed to go beyond the traditional idea of a restaurant and instead of creating a simple place to enjoy a meal, they created a totally immersed place where the experience of dinner starts from the eyes and body sensations.
