The new dialogue between Our Legacy and C.P. Company

Our Legacy Work Shop and C.P. Company meet in a collaboration that feels almost inevitable, a dialogue between two brands that have built their own language on an obsession with materials, functional forms and an aesthetic we would recognize anywhere. It is a capsule born from the archive but looking ahead, speaking to menswear enthusiasts with the same care with which a collector leafs through a rare book.

The meeting point is Bologna, where the monumental archive of C.P. Company is located, a place that for Our Legacy Work Shop has represented more than just a reference: a fertile ground where stories, fabrics and prototypes intertwine. From there come the inspirations that define the capsule, among field jackets and Mais B pigment-dyed parkas, a leather anorak, a tailored suit in wool/nylon gabardine and heavyweight T-shirts decorated with graphics that look as if they had slipped out of the pages of a ’70s magazine.

There is no lack of unexpected pieces such as the hat originally created by Massimo Osti for Lucio Dalla, reimagined through the distinctive gaze of the Work Shop, and garments that bring us back to the tactility of materials, from corduroy trousers to button-down shirts.

The collaboration lives in the tension between functionality and research: the garments take shape from patterns conceived for workwear, military and sportswear, reinterpreted through a contemporary and deliberately lived-in aesthetic. Pigment dyeing, a distinctive trait of Our Legacy, amplifies this dimension: the fabrics — coming from surplus and deadstock of both brands — are treated to acquire a natural patina that evolves over time, almost as if the story of the garment kept being written with every wear.

“Massimo Osti had an incredible archive,” says Jockum Hallin, founder and creative director of Our Legacy Work Shop. “He was deeply devoted to the product: perfecting it, elevating it, making everyday garments beautiful and interesting, yet always wearable and functional.” And it is precisely this dedication that can be felt in every fiber of the capsule.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect is that, although it is a collaboration, we don’t find any loud logos or forced silhouettes. This is also underlined by Enrico Grigoletti, VP of Brands at C.P. Company: “In an era when many collaborations seem driven by the need to make noise, it is a relief to find partners who share a genuine commitment to product quality.” This is a capsule that puts at its center a common heritage made of research, precision and excellent materials.

To complete the project, Our Legacy Work Shop has produced a limited-edition magazine, a tribute to C.P. Company’s original magazines from the 1970s. Inside, four photographic stories, shot by Kingsley Ifill & David Bradshaw, Jenny Källman, Lo Vahlström and Giovanni Benvenuto, explore that shared ground of subcultural aesthetics and visual sensibilities that forms the common thread of the collaboration. And the magazine will be available only in store, for those who purchase a piece from the capsule.

The Our Legacy Work Shop x C.P. Company collection will arrive on November 21, 2025 in selected stores and online, confirming the encounter between two unmistakable and iconic visions. A collaboration that does not try to reinvent the wheel, but to tell it better; with the calm, care and consistency that today almost feel like a luxury.
