PhotoVogue Festival opens today, presenting the ninth edition of the world’s first festival dedicated to conscious fashion photography. Until March 9, BASE Milano will transform into a cultural hub with exhibitions, talks, and themed panels, bringing together some of the most influential voices in international photography. This year’s theme, The Tree of Life: A Love Letter to Nature, is not just a tribute to the beauty of the natural world but also a reflection on the relationship between humans and the environment. The festival explores the connections between humans, animals, and plants, highlighting the impact of human activity on biodiversity and climate.
Visitors will engage with a global community of photographers, artists, and environmental experts committed to sustainability, including Richard Mosse, Ami Vitale, Alice Aedy, and Elizaveta Porodina. Five exhibitions will address the theme from different perspectives, including The Tree of Life, featuring works by 50 artists selected through a global open call, and Latin American Panorama, which celebrates artistic voices from Latin America. In Vogue with Nature will explore the relationship between fashion and nature through iconic Vogue covers, while Seeds of Knowledge and The Tree of Change will present a curated collection of books and a series of visual contributions on environmental issues, respectively.
