Poor Boy, presented at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016, is the first movie directed by Robert Scott Wildes. Although critics gave it a good response since its first broadcasts the film hasn’t easily found a distribution channel. Now that Indian Pictures released a trailer just a few days ago the movie has finally found a way to appear on the big screen.
It’s the story of two brothers, Romeo (Lou Taylor Pucci) and Samson Griggs (Dov Tiefenbach), who live on the edge of society making a living on small crimes.
The cast stars Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water, Boardwalk Empire and many other films) playing the role of a rodeo clown and father of the two felons.
Poor Boy will be released this summer in the month of July, but only for a couple of days and only in US cinemas. I hope the film will one day be also shown in Italy but I guess that we will only have to wait.
