An explosion of colors, Serena Confalonieri presented her latest work for the city of Milan entitled “Quadra”. An initiative promoted by the Municipality with the intent to redevelop public spaces of the city now almost abandoned giving new life through art.

“Quadra” is located in the former parking lot of via Val Lagarina, in the Quarto Oggiaro district, and is a tribute of the Italian designer to the world of childhood.

“We designed this intervention taking into account, yes, functional and aesthetic needs, but also, and above all, the needs and stimuli for play and interaction that children need.”

The artist has transformed what was previously just a gray parking lot into an interactive game, full of colors but especially of shapes. What characterizes and makes “Quadra” special are in fact its geometric shapes, arranged in a grid similar to that of the squared notebooks used by children.
