After the announcement to re-propose 100 garments from his personal archive, Raf Simons presented his latest Fall/Winter 2020 campaign, seen as an intense and psychedelic journey through the fields and the very essence of nature.
An image that is almost primordial but which, thanks to the photos taken by photographer Willy Vanderperre, acquires a borderline aesthetic thanks to disturbing elements such as the artificial colors of the sky and their saturation that give the campaign a post-apocalyptic flavor.
A game of contrasts between the natural and the artificial, all characterized by two recurring words that seem to represent a founding motif of the collection “SOLAR YOUTH”, which stands out on an object similar to a small carpet.
Black coats, turtleneck, trousers, jackets, furs, all rigorously minimal but with details that destabilize the beholder, such as the transparent PVC shell/wrap that “chokes” or covers the items.
Below are images from Raf Simons’ Fall/Winter 2020 campaign.
