Raf Simons will reissues 100 archive items

To celebrate 25 years of activity of the brand that bears his name, Raf Simons has chosen to launch a re-edition of 100 archival items that will be available from the end of 2020.
The Belgian designer, who will make his debut in September as Prada’s new creative co-director alongside Miuccia, has chosen 100 pieces from his most famous collections to be presented to the public in a new collection, Raf Simons Archive Redux.

The collection is “both a creative and commercial gesture, [it] offers the new generation of Raf Simons followers a chance to experience these garments for the first time. Nostalgia for the unknown” and includes the re-release of items that have made Simons’ history, such as the red shirts and thin black ties from the FW98 inspired by the cover of the 1978 Kraftwerk album “The Man-Machine” and brought to the catwalk by members of the legendary electronic music pioneer group during the show “Radioactivity” for Fall/Winter 1998.

Another iconic piece of Simons’ work and that will be re-proposed thanks to the Raf Simons Archive Redux collection, is the hoodie KOLLAPS of Spring 2002 characterized by the writing “Woe Onto Those Who Spit on the Fear Generation… The Wind Will Blow It Back”.

One of the designers who, more than any other, has subverted many of the canons of the fashion world, Raf Simons represents an icon and the garments he designed are a real object of desire for every enthusiast and are sold at incalculable prices like the bomber jackets of the Riot!Riot!Riot! collection of Fall/Winter 2001/2002.

The Raf Simons Archive Redux collection will be available online from December 2020.
