Balancing between dream and function, ROA continues to express an aesthetic that emerges from the landscape and dissolves into our imagination, breaking away from convention. The Italian brand’s Spring Summer 2026 collection is a slow, silent walk through the morning mist—a liminal space where the boundaries between body, mind, and terrain blur.

There’s no clear direction, no map to follow: this SS26 moves through uncertainty as a choice, as a radical approach to design. The materials — ranging from ultra-resistant canvas to lightweight technical nylons — tell of extreme functionality, designed for those who cross ever-changing and unexpected terrains. The collection also expands into new territories, like running and water activities, pushing ROA to rethink every detail with almost surgical precision: ergonomic cuts, quick-drying mesh, breathable membranes. Each garment becomes a complex system, ready to react.

The technological partners remain the same, but the relationship evolves. Vibram® continues to craft the soles, Polartec® regulates temperature, and Dryarn® provides lightness and breathability. But it’s the ensemble that conveys a drive toward excellence that is never flashy. For ROA, performance is about consistency, not spectacle.

Visually, SS26 abandons traditional camouflage and builds a new symbolic vocabulary: five custom check patterns, a camo inspired by moth wings, and textures evoking tree bark blend into a grammar of earthy tones, deep greys, and sudden bursts of violet and electric blue. Nature is always present, but as a filtered vision, a dreamlike echo.

There are also forays into visual language: maps, diagrams, and rational patterns merge with images that feel pulled from a lucid dream — a dragon dancing among stars, an eagle tearing through clouds under a full moon. These are visions that expand the very notion of “functionality”: no longer just technical, but also poetic.

Bringing this visual narrative to life is the campaign, shot by photographer Rafael Wolanowski and interpreted by Lauren Auder. The images translate the collection’s essence into suspended, intimate, almost spiritual atmospheres—perfectly in tune with the ROA universe. In short, this SS26 feels like an invitation to leave the beaten path. A collection that doesn’t just protect the body, but accompanies the mind on a slow, introspective journey, where even the fog becomes a space to cross, not a limit to avoid.
