Starting from the diagrams of some electrical circuits, the Dorothy design studio tries to classify the genres and their interpreters who have in some way marked their history, evolution and definitive consecration.
So this time the creatives have tried to summarize under a big blue poster rock, a complex genre loved by almost everyone. Starting clearly from the amplifier of the electric guitar, the pivotal instrument of the genre, have pulled out about 1400 names that have made history in one way in another.

We will also give you a brief history of the genre to better understand a genre as beautiful as complex.
Rock music was born between the ’50s and ’60s, it developed and quickly took root especially in America and the United Kingdom.
In fact, it is an evolution of rock ‘n roll, but its influences, as in all genres, come from everywhere, from blues for example, or from the country.
Not leaving out any of these influences, the studio has mapped out the genre, starting with gospel, jazz and country blues artists like Ma Rainey, Lead Belly, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Woody Guthrie, who paved the way for rock and roll pioneers like Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Elvis, who in turn inspired a generation like The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and the Velvet Underground.
But of course, they didn’t forget those who used the electric guitar masterfully like Jimi Hendrix, The Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, metal heavyweights Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, hard rock heroes Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Motörhead.
And they certainly could not miss the artists of today, those who are rewriting the history of the genre through their notes as The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys and St Vincent for example.

In short, they have something for all tastes but we are sure that something is missing because especially in the field of music is difficult to create something universal and univocal.
