We’ve talked about slow fashion many times on our channels (here and especially here), and this time we’re exploring it through the story of TAIPPE—a very young Portuguese brand. Striking a balance between comfort and coolness, the brand introduces an occasionless wardrobe (a term we hadn’t encountered before) that goes beyond seasonal trends. TAIPPE focuses on exclusive, versatile pieces and high quality. Let’s dive deeper into this project.

TAIPPE’s Mission
Let’s start with the name. TAIPPE is how a Portuguese speaker might phonetically write the English word “type.” While the choice may initially seem unusual, the founders’ intentions are clear: to reflect the brand’s mission—creating products that transcend barriers of gender, color, size, and age.

With a contemporary and innovative perspective, the TAIPPE team designs collections in response to the evolving lifestyles of recent years. Their pieces reflect the growing need for versatile garments that adapt seamlessly to an increasingly hybrid world.

The Fabrics Behind the Portuguese Brand
Environmental respect, material quality, and comfort are the cornerstones of TAIPPE. The brand is committed to working exclusively with cellulosic and natural fibers, including organic cotton, acetate, micromodal, and bio-elastane. But what does this mean? TAIPPE assures its customers of the biodegradability of its garments, offering pieces with a longer lifespan.

When we met the founders, we also got a glimpse of BLOOD TAIPPE—the brand’s new capsule collection. Centered around the color red, the collection plays with the concept of blood types, positioning itself strongly within the brand’s DNA. It’s a fresh, distinctive perspective that’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
