Tavar Zawacki’s SHAPESHIFTING opens at Wunderkammern

After Franco Fasoli‘s one, the Wunderkammern in Milan will host the exhibition of a young American artist who has made abstract art his trademark. Wednesday, November 21 will open, in fact, SHAPESHIFTING by Tavar Zawacki, also known as ABOVE.

The story of Tavar is particularly interesting. Starting from California, where he began to study and where he graduated, he started to travel the world. In this way, his art has been contaminated by different cultures, customs, techniques, and practices. Since the beginning of his career, he has always signed his works with the name ABOVE, only two years ago he decided to reveal his true identity. Today it is known all over the world with its real name, Tavar Zawacki.

Tavar’s art is distinguished by its giant abstract murals made from geometric shapes and those depicting huge arrows. What characterizes his works, even more, is the use of color, with which he creates thick dark edges, filled with bright and bright tones.

The exhibition SHAPESHIFTING is curated by Giuseppe Pizzuto and will remain open until December 22, 2018.
