Not far from the small town of Oppadal in the Norwegian mountains, the A38 arkitekter studio has designed a cabin with a minimalist design that stands out in the landscape. Called The Diamond, the cabin has a geometric and angular shape reminiscent of a diamond and, just like a diamond on one hand, the A38 arkitekter’s design also stands out in the landscape without ruining it. 
In fact, although the dark wood structure creates strong contrast with the surrounding environment, often covered with snow, its presence does not disturb. 

The Diamond represents an updated and modern version of traditional local houses, which is why the architects opted for minimalism and clean forms. 

The house remains elevated from the ground thanks to a huge pylon and, although from the outside it looks cold and almost austere, inside it offers a warm and comfortable accommodation. The light wood, in addition to making it look optically the only larger room, also makes it very cozy.

A highlight of The Diamond are the huge windows that cover the walls and part of the ceiling that allow you to enjoy accommodation surrounded by nature.
