The Kumaon Hotel is located in the Kumaon region on the Himalayas. This luxury retreat is located at 1600 meters above sea level, near the historic Indian city of Almora. To arrive at the hotel, located on a ridge of the Nanda Devi mountain, you have to take steep paths that branch off from the main road.

The project is signed by the architects Pradeep Kodikara and Juneshi Samaraweera from Zowa architects, who have thought of a type of architecture that cares about the environment, which is why it is completely wrapped in bamboo. The materials used, stones, bamboo, pine wood and fabrics, both for the structure and for the furniture, were purchased locally and processed by local artisans.

The Kumaon Hotel has 10 luxury suites, a library, a solarium and a gourmet restaurant, but the most spectacular thing it has to offer is absolutely a new kind of peace between mountains, valleys, forests and lakes and breathtaking landscapes.
