THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL division, under the direction of the Japanese designer, with studies in sociology and psychology, and pioneer of urban outdoor, Eiichiro Homma has just presented the Fall/Winter2020 collection and lookbook.

In 2003, Goldwin Inc., which still owns The North Face brand in Japan, launched the sub-label THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL and entrusted its management to Homma, who quickly developed a completely new idea of the outdoors.
Distributed exclusively in Japan and South Korea, the US brand division represents a break with the idiosyncrasy that existed between everyday life and performance.
Homma had realized that even city dwellers wore technical equipment in their everyday lives and a strict separation between what could be worn in the city and what in the mountains was now an outdated idea. So he decided to dedicate himself to the PURPLE LABEL project, focusing on innovation in the design of each garment, the development of materials is fundamental and is deepened thanks to brands such as GORE and Polartec. In 2016 he launched the “Moon Parka” for The North Face’s PURPLE LABEL, the first jacket made of synthetic spider silk in collaboration with the Japanese biotech start-up Spiber.
Up to Fall/Winter 2020 and the new collection between casual and functional clothing of THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL, a set of technical fabrics and oversized shapes that express comfort and sophistication.
Down jackets, field jackets, corduroy pants, plentiful tees, capes, parkas, fleece jackets, denim shirts, climbing pants, backpacks, bags, and hats. In this collection, you will find everything you need for the winter for those who live in the city and who often find themselves out of the house for more than 10 hours a day, with all kinds of weather and weather conditions, but thanks to materials such as GORE-TEX, Cordura and Polartec they will be able to cope with the weather without worries.
The Fall/Winter 2020 THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL collection can be purchased in stores such as DIVERSE, Digital Mountain and Reggie Shops. All three of these stores offer international shipments so finally we too could buy the TNF sub-label items that until recently were the exclusive preserve of Japan and South Korea.
