Spring is the time of rebirth, of color bursting forth again and ideas sprouting. Just as nature follows its cycle, so too does creativity blossom, bringing with it new visions, languages and talents to be discovered. They are roses and they will bloom – no doubt, just the certainty that these creatives are already making their mark. From photography to design, art to style, here is who is redefining the rules of the game and who will be impossible to ignore in the months ahead.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Mélissa Cornet – an essential witness to women’s resistance in Afghanistan

Among the emerging creatives to watch out for, Mélissa Cornet stands out for her extraordinary ability to chronicle the world through the lens of photojournalism and research. Winner of the 14th Carmignac Prize for Photojournalism, her work focuses on the plight of women and girls in Afghanistan following the Taliban’s return to power in 2021. A resident of the country since 2018, Mélissa has closely documented the gradual erosion of women’s rights, offering an insider’s perspective on crucial issues such as the food crisis, women workers’ mental health, and women’s resilience in an increasingly hostile environment. Her analyses have been published in internationally prominent newspapers, including The Guardian, BBC and The Times, solidifying her role as an indispensable voice in the global news landscape. Through his work, Cornet does more than simply photograph reality: he interprets it, denounces it, and makes it impossible to ignore.

DESIGN

Roosa Ryhänen – materiality and color in contemporary design

Among the emerging talents to watch in the design world, Roosa Ryhänen is distinguished by a multidisciplinary approach that embraces product design, space, graphic design, and branding. With a background in industrial design, her creations retain a strong material and structural character, in which textures and colors become central elements. Her work develops through experimentation with unexpected materials and forms, creating tactile objects that invite close exploration. Driven by a curiosity for unexpected connections, Roosa translates the tension between aesthetics and functionality into design pieces that capture attention and challenge perception.

His work will be on display at Design Week ALCOVA MILANO 2025, at the Former Snia Factory from April 7 to 13. An unmissable opportunity to discover his creative universe up close.

STYLE

95fuxx – art and fashion in experimental fusion

In the emerging landscape of style design, 95fuxx redefines fashion as a canvas for artistic expression. Through an abstract, painterly language, his garments become surfaces on which pictorial matter comes to life, transforming clothes into wearable works of art. Each piece is unique, the result of aesthetic research that fuses gesture, texture and color in a visual dialogue between body and space. With an experimental approach that breaks down the boundaries between fashion and art, 95fuxx creates a new way of perceiving clothing: not only as personal expression, but as an ever-evolving visual performance.
