Hail to the king, long life for the king.
Today saw the release of the first trailer for “The King” directed by David Michôd who, before arriving next autumn in some theatres and on Netflix, will be presented out of competition at the Venice Film Festival, now just around the corner.
“The King” is an adaptation of Henry IV, Part One and Part Two, and Henry V, which will be played by Timothée Chalamet, the protagonist of Call me by your name by Luca Guadagnino.
In the cast, to tell the story of the young English king who succeeds his father in a period of tensions and political turmoil against his will, even Joel Edgerton, Ben Mendelssohn, Robert Pattinson as the Dauphin of France, Sean Harris and Lily-Rose Depp.
Enjoy the trailer that seems to promise something good and, above all, faithful to the original test.
