At the end of September last year, Valentino presented its Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
The surprise star of that show, however, was denim. In fact, on the catwalk a pair of jeans born from the collaboration with one of the most iconic brands of all time, Levi’s®, caught everyone’s attention.
Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of the maison, has reinterpreted a classic of the American brand, the 517 Original from 1969. A collaboration that reinterprets the distinctive heritage of the two brands through this bootcut model that inaugurates a new attitude based on individuality, this is the genesis of LEVI’S® 1969 517 FOR VALENTINO.
This joint effort includes two exclusive models available for both men and women: the Levi’s® Vintage 517 (1969) and its Re-edition for which a special co-branded label has been created.
The Re-edition is a faithful reproduction of the original, while the 517 Vintage dates back to the early 1970s and has undergone an upcycling process.
The LEVI’S® 1969 517 FOR VALENTINO are available starting today in select boutiques and on Valentino’s website.
