The Tokyo-based brand founded in 2005, WACKO MARIA, presented the Spring/Summer 2021 collection characterized by a series of collaborations such as those with photographer and director Larry Clark (Kids, 1995), Jean-Michel Basquiat, Tecate, Dickies and with the 1991 film directed by Jonathan Demme starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, The Silence of the Lambs.
A wide range of items from WACKO MARIA for SS21 where we find a well-constructed outerwear range, bright and bold short-sleeved shirts, in the style of the Japanese brand and much appreciated, as well as many other pieces all characterized by graphics, images and photos that recall the collaborations mentioned above.
Images from the book “Tulsa” scenes from “Silence of the Lambs”, works by Basquiat and tattoo artist Tim Lehi make WACKO MARIA’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection unique, in which we also find a leopard print Mountain parka in collaboration with Nanga and shorts and a work shirt in collaboration with Dickies.
