Wales Bonner and adidas Originals continue in their successful and prolific collaboration by presenting the Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
This fourth joint venture between the two brands continues along the lines of the previous ones by delving into the adidas archives with a focus on the 1970s and 1980s, the true aesthetic touchstone of this ongoing collaboration.
In particular, designer Grace Wales Bonner wanted to focus her research and attention, to the music and photography of Burkina Faso during those very years, emphasizing its incredible creative energy and strong individuality.
The collection perfectly reflects Bonner’s influences and references, the jacquard knitwear, the 70’s reinterpretations of the adidas Track Top and Track Pants, and the color palette; as well as the sneakers chosen for the collabo, the adidas Country – in black and brown versions – and the WB Samba in two different colorways, red and white and white and green.
This fourth collaboration is accompanied by a campaign shot by Jalan and Jibril Durimel and will be available starting Saturday, June 4 through the app adidas Confirmed and on walesbonner.net.
